Liddington Sports Tour

Over the weekend, 6th - 8th May, thirty one students went on the Liddington Sports Tour held by PGL in Liddington. Nine boys attended to play football and take part in team building activities and twenty two girls who took part in a netball tournament where they played against teams from all around the country.

The boys had a brilliant time where they received 4 hours of coaching each day from FA qualified coaches. They also got to take part in team building activities including Jacob’s ladder and orienteering.

The girls who attended made up two netball teams, a Year7/8 team and a Year 9/10 team. They played extremely well at a very high level and showed real determination when they came up against some extremely strong teams, but worked hard and pulled together as a team. On the Sunday the girls got to meet an England Netball player 'Eboni Beckford Chambers' who came straight from winning the Netball Super League on the Saturday.

The girls also got to take part in 'Queue and do' activities which included the Giant Swing, abseiling, climbing and airoball.

All the students who took part in the residential had a fantastic time and developed as a team. We are now looking forward to next year’s sports tour.
