Students will study the topics of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. This includes analysing the interaction of supply and demand, evaluating Britain's economic performance and understanding the different ways to enhance economic growth. The exam board used is Edexcel with 2 examined units both counting for 50% of the course.
Students study the key themes of both Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. This includes looking at the difference between monopoly and perfect competition, the changing levels of inflation and unemployment and analysing economic growth. Edexcel is used with all these concepts being tested by external examination with unit 3 being worth 40% and unit 4 worth 60%.
